Found a pack of 24 vintage Nike stickers at the Flea Market yesterday. Some of my favorite vintage finds are the little things like stickers, pins or random sports memorabilia. Dan Wieden, co-founder of Wieden+Kennedy (shout out to Taylor, Caleb & BDP) coined the now-famous slogan "Just Do It" for a 1988 Nike ad campaign.

If I had a PENNY for my thoughts I'd be a millionaire...

Battle of the Century...

I think everyone and their mother remembers the Godzilla vs Barkley Nike campaign! In the early 90s Nike killed the commercials and now I have to look at frickin puppets all day.....Lord help me if I see another Kobe/Lebron commercial!!! The ad campaign was for Nike’s Air Ballistic Force line of basketball shoes that dropped that year and I can remember kids at school rockin them while I sported some skippies......thanks Dad! The shirt is sz Lrg, Mint condition and looking for a torso!!

Fun Fact: The commercial was a big hit and even a sequel was written and planned for 1994, which would have pitted Charles Barkley and David Robinson against Godzilla and Mechagodzilla. However, due to the projected high cost of such a venture, the sequel idea was abandoned, apparently for good.

Mac Attack...

Another great find from today is this vintage Nike McEnroe checkerboard tag jacket. I gotta be honest my girl found this too, she killed it today!!!!!!! When she showed it to me I said "YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS", she looked at me like I was crazy and almost put it back but then I told her the store behind the comment! We just sold a vintage red Nike Mcenroe suit the other day so it was nice to get a new Mac piece that quickly. I have never seen this jacket before in my life and if it was an XL I wouldve probably kept it but its a sz Small (can fit a Medium for sure). It has a couple spots on the front so I'm gonna get it cleaned then it will be ready to go!

On December 12th, 1986 Jordan finished a streak of 8 consecutive games, scoring 40 or more points (ranks 3rd in NBA all time records). The good ol Wheaties calender, filled with classic pic and random facts about "His Airness"! P.S. Damn those infrareds look icy and there's a pair of 2000's up on eBay in my size calling my name!

The charity auction features over 800 pairs of limited edition shoes, all from Adams private personal collection.

DJ AM started collecting sneakers over 10 years ago, but his passion began as a child when his grandmother took him to buy shoes one year for the first day of school. Adam saw a pair of AirJordan 1's in his hometown of Philadelphia and was instantly hooked. "It looked like the Millennium Falcon," he had said. "It looked like a toy from 'Star Wars,' and I was begging her. They were $70 and that was unheard of, and she was like, 'Oh no.'' This fascination soon turned into a hobby which quickly made Adam one of the most avid and premiere collectors in the world. AM became recognized over the years for his expertise in sneakers and was respected worldwide for his extensive collection. His stash includes limited edition and hard or impossible to find pairs of Nike, Adidas, Converse, BAPE and more.

The public auction will begin on-line on Sunday, November 15th, and all proceeds will go to the DJ AM MEMORIAL FUND. The DJ AM Memorial Fund maintains the legacy of Adam Goldstein through extending his commitment to helping others struggling with addiction. Contributions will help organizations and projects committed to addressing issues of addiction and recovery. The fund is powered through the non-profit group Creative Visions.

Just in time for the holidays, the charity auction will run from Sunday November 15th beginning at 4:30pm (PST) through December 14th exclusively at www.ebay.com/djamshoes. As part of the auction, consumers will be able to bid on Adams shoes, some worn and some brand new. The lot includes a pair of Nike PlayStation Air Force 1s that were made exclusively for a PlayStation party (Nike only made 200 of them, and they have sold online for up to $3,000), 1 pair of Eminem Air Jordan 4s created to commemorate the release of the rapper's Encore LP (only 50 pairs of the Eminem Jordan 4s were made and they've sold in the past for close to $7,500), Supreme Dunks, Supa Dunks AND other Hyperstrikes, Air Jordan PE's, Vintage and early retro’s and many, many other rare, limited edition, hard to find gems.

Undefeated (UNDFTD) will feature 18 of the most exclusive pairs of shoes from Adam’s collection at their 3 Los Angeles area stores; La Brea, Santa Monica and Silverlake. BO is Back...

...with Nike and here's a taste of what's to come. The Bo Jackson's signature cross trainer, originally released in the 90's returns to Foot Locker a decade later. Bo was the perfect athlete for a cross-training shoe cutting across sporting boundaries, considering his multi-sport baseball/football background. This particular colorway matches up with his NFL alma mater the L.A. (now Oakland) Raiders. It features a black and grey upper, grey back heel wrap with a black Nike logo and a black outsole with grey accents. The shirt is also a new Nike tee and its pretty sick IMO but lets just keep our fingers crossed that Nike retros the AIR TRAINER SC II :-) Source

As Seen On...

Great pic of Spike Lee and Michael Jackson (RIP) on set of the "They Don't Care About Us" video shoot in Rio de Janeiro. The video was shot in 1995 as you might've guessed by the OG Nike Zoom Flight 95's that Spike was rockin. Asked why he chose Lee to direct the video, Jackson responded, "'They Don't Care About Us' has an edge, and Spike Lee had approached me. It's a public awareness song and that's what he is all about. It's a protest kind of song ... and I think he was perfect for it".

Design Challenged...

Above is the new Nike Challenge court varsity jacket honoring the man behind the mullet. The jacket features the old Challenge Court logo on the back, various commemorative patches and the hot lava splater print on the front. I think the jacket would've been dope without the splatter print on the front, but now it looks like someone ran through a paintball field and got smoked. The jacket retails for a mere $450 and is available now at Nike.com

I just saw this new 5 panel cap from the folks over at PHLI which was the first sneaker boutique in Chicago. If you're a "sneakerhead" than youre probably familiar with the images on this hat. I spot a couple boxes mixed in there like New Balance, Reebok and Fila but the orange box has been synonymous with Nike since the getgo. I know I personally have nightmares of orange boxes in my closet coming to life and trying to kill me, but thats a story for my therapist (I dont really have a therapist, but I might need one soon if I keep buying sneakers)! I'm not a big Air Yeezy fan but I must admit these prototypes are pretty dope! I like the all black murdered out steez with the Jordan VI sole! Anyways these were auctioned off last week for charity with all of the proceeds benefiting the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. The auction ended for $7,400.00 while the other pair that Kanye wore at the Grammy's went for $16,500.00 !!

Chi McBride and Mark Smith unveiled them a few weeks ago, and it’s a one-of-a-kind, all black Air Yeezy sitting atop an Air Jordan VI tooling. As Chi says, “Of which there is only one. None before it. None to come.” According to Mark, Kanye himself has never even seen them. Made in size 12, the Yeezy/ VI includes a custom lasered white box, along with one of the very first sketches that Mark Smith knocked out at the beginning of the project some two years ago.

Eggplant Parmesan...

That title just made me hungry and I just finished dinner! Anyways it looks like Nike is bringing back the uber successful Eggplant colorway but this time on a Big Nike High. The Eggplant foamposites had the internet going crazy and Nike is always watching so they did what they do best, bring back a successful colorway and use it on other Nike styles. I kinda like these but without the speckled sole and I would rather pick up a pair of the Metallic Purple/Black dunk Co.jp's!!!! They will be dropping this month at House of Hoops but no exact date yet. Source
