ESPN showing more vintage love. A couple months back they came in looking for vintage Eagles gear to use in an upcoming commercial. They picked out a bunch of dope stuff, some of which can be seen in the video above.....peep it!!!

Battle of the Century...

I think everyone and their mother remembers the Godzilla vs Barkley Nike campaign! In the early 90s Nike killed the commercials and now I have to look at frickin puppets all day.....Lord help me if I see another Kobe/Lebron commercial!!! The ad campaign was for Nike’s Air Ballistic Force line of basketball shoes that dropped that year and I can remember kids at school rockin them while I sported some skippies......thanks Dad! The shirt is sz Lrg, Mint condition and looking for a torso!!

Fun Fact: The commercial was a big hit and even a sequel was written and planned for 1994, which would have pitted Charles Barkley and David Robinson against Godzilla and Mechagodzilla. However, due to the projected high cost of such a venture, the sequel idea was abandoned, apparently for good.

Sex Sells Kicks...

Reebok pulling out the sex card to try and sell kicks.....I cant say I'm mad at them!

Fast is Never Enough...

Above is Nike's new commercial featuring Arsenal’s wonderboy, Theo Walcott. At 20 years young Walcott is known for his blistering pace and insatiable desire to become a better player day in, day out which makes fans cheer and opponents quiver. Watching these videos makes me miss playing soccer!!

Oreo Big Stuff...

Why did they discontinue the Big Stuff Oreos, those were the best!!! They were pretty much a big whoopie pie and were several times the size of a normal Oreo. Introduced in 1985 the Big Stuff made it 6 years before being discontinued in 1991.

The newest Kobe & Lebron Nike commercial and I think its the funniest one so far. The NBA is praying that the Cavs & Lakers are in the finals but we'll have to wait and see........

Punch Out...

Who remember's playing "Mike Tyson's Puch Out" for hours upon hours??? I got calluses on my fingers from that darn game but it was the best!! Above is the original commercial featuring Iron Mike himself before he went all crazy. I might have to get that handheld NES system below and get my Punch Out on.

Bo Knows Diddley...

The original "Bo Knows" ad was a television commercial by firm Wieden & Kennedy. The spot opens with a shot of Jackson playing baseball and fellow ballplayer Kirk Gibson saying, "Bo knows baseball." The next scene shows Jackson on the gridiron, with quarterback Jim Everett explaining, "Bo knows football." Jackson then plays basketball, tennis, and ice hockey and goes running, with Michael Jordan, John McEnroe, and Mary Decker vouching for Jackson's knowledge of their sports (Wayne Gretzky, when confronted with Jackson laying a body check, simply says "No.") The ad concludes with Jackson trying to play the guitar, whereupon blues legend Bo Diddley exclaims, "Bo, you don't know diddley!" Serendipitously, the spot first aired during the commercial break immediately following Jackson's lead-off home run in the 1989 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
