Paid in Full..

Speaking of dope tees, just a reminder that Defunkd has the holy grail of vintage Rap tees, the 1988 Eric B & Rakim Paid in Full t-shirt ending in 2hrs!!!! ALL auction proceeds benefit the DJ AM memorial fund so not only will you get the dopest tee on the planet but you'll also be supporting a good cause!!! This was one of the first vintage rap tees I ever sold AM over 3 years ago and it was his all time favorite! Shortly after his plane crash he was in Boston (for the Jay Z concert) and we had lunch where he told me that he thought this tee was in his bag on the plane. He was super bummed and begged me to find him another one, so I said I would try my best. A week or so later he texted me saying he found the tee in his NY apt and it wasn't in the bag on the plane.....he was estactic to say the least!!! I have this shirt in my personal collection as well as his homie DJKevinScott and to us it will always be called the "AM" shirt because he loved it so much. Ive been slangin vintage for almost 10years and this tee desn't come up often especially in sz XL so I would bid to win and remember its helping out a great cause.........RIP Adam Goldstein!!! After AM sent payment for tees he always said "PAID in FULL homie"!!!!!!!!

Fix Your Face...

DJ AM x Nike...

Above are some pics that recently surfaced of the DJ AM x Nike Dunk hi collabo that was in the works before Adam passed. These are the 1st actual pics posted on the blogs but I actually saw them a couple weeks back when a sample pair got listed on eBay. I think they are super clean and they remind me of one of my favorite GR dunks, the Orange/Obsidian Footaction Dunk Hi that dropped years ago. The back heel features 3M perforated heel detailing in reference to a turntable and the DJ AM "AC DC" logo is stitched on the tongue tag as well as printed on the insole. Not release date info as of yet but I'll let you know if I hear anything.

If you can't take the HEAT...

As I mentioned before some of AM's rarer kicks are on display at the 3 UNDFTD locations. I went next door to see which ones were on display and came back with drool marks all over my t-shirt. Above are the 5 pairs on display and to be quite honest 4 of the 5 are some of the rarest and most sought after Nikes on the planet . The Turtle AF1's, the UNDFTD Jordan IV's, the Eminem Jordan IV's, the Playstation AF1's and the Paris dunk sb's are all amazing kicks from AM's mind boggling personal collection.

Damn That DJ Made My Day...

Undefeated and Creative Visions partner for the DJ AM MEMORIAL FUND limited edition charity sneaker auction on eBay. The auctions will run November 15th - December 14th exclusively at eBay.com/djamshoes. The proceeds benefit The DJ AM Memorial Fund so show your support, bid on some rare kicks and always remember the homie Adam Goldstein!!

Beverly Hills CA - November 12, 2009 In honor of the late Adam "DJ AM" Goldstien, Undefeated, Creative Visions and the Estate of Adam Goldstein today announce the DJ AM MEMORIAL FUND charity sneaker auction on eBay. The charity auction features over 800 pairs of limited edition shoes, all from Adams private personal collection.

DJ AM started collecting sneakers over 10 years ago, but his passion began as a child when his grandmother took him to buy shoes one year for the first day of school. Adam saw a pair of AirJordan 1's in his hometown of Philadelphia and was instantly hooked. "It looked like the Millennium Falcon," he had said. "It looked like a toy from 'Star Wars,' and I was begging her. They were $70 and that was unheard of, and she was like, 'Oh no.'' This fascination soon turned into a hobby which quickly made Adam one of the most avid and premiere collectors in the world. AM became recognized over the years for his expertise in sneakers and was respected worldwide for his extensive collection. His stash includes limited edition and hard or impossible to find pairs of Nike, Adidas, Converse, BAPE and more.

The public auction will begin on-line on Sunday, November 15th, and all proceeds will go to the DJ AM MEMORIAL FUND. The DJ AM Memorial Fund maintains the legacy of Adam Goldstein through extending his commitment to helping others struggling with addiction. Contributions will help organizations and projects committed to addressing issues of addiction and recovery. The fund is powered through the non-profit group Creative Visions.

Just in time for the holidays, the charity auction will run from Sunday November 15th beginning at 4:30pm (PST) through December 14th exclusively at www.ebay.com/djamshoes. As part of the auction, consumers will be able to bid on Adams shoes, some worn and some brand new. The lot includes a pair of Nike PlayStation Air Force 1s that were made exclusively for a PlayStation party (Nike only made 200 of them, and they have sold online for up to $3,000), 1 pair of Eminem Air Jordan 4s created to commemorate the release of the rapper's Encore LP (only 50 pairs of the Eminem Jordan 4s were made and they've sold in the past for close to $7,500), Supreme Dunks, Supa Dunks AND other Hyperstrikes, Air Jordan PE's, Vintage and early retro’s and many, many other rare, limited edition, hard to find gems.

Undefeated (UNDFTD) will feature 18 of the most exclusive pairs of shoes from Adam’s collection at their 3 Los Angeles area stores; La Brea, Santa Monica and Silverlake. Running concurrently with the auction, people will be able to view hard or impossible to find pairs including: Jay Z Air Force 1’s, Zoo York Dunk’s, Pharrell Williams N.E.R.D Dunk’s, Tiffany Dunk’s, Eminem Air Jordan 4’s, Pigeon Dunk’s, the incredibly rare pair of Laser Air Force 1’s (Fukijama’s) that Adam beat out Turtle for on the “Entourage” episode. These shoes and more will be on display at all three LA Undefeated locations.

RIP DJ AM...

Yesterday was a sad day for a lot of people after hearing the news that DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) had passed away. I wanna give my condolences to his family and friends!

The first time I had actually heard of AM was about 5 years ago when he used to post on Niketalk as part of the Air Mack Crew along with Ben Baller and DJ Homocide. I was always in awe of their sneaker collection, they had the some of the rarest sneakers in the world. Fast forward 2 years and AM purchased a vintage sweatshirt from me on eBay, a purple Nike sweat with a huge neon green swoosh on the front. He started buying from me regularly there after and then we started talking via email. In one email I mentioned I had some dope vintage rap tees and I would send some pics. After I sent that email with the pics it was game over, he grabbed all the rarest tees I had, but I knew they were going to good hands and would be worn proudly (as you can see HERE ). I think his favorite tee was the Eric B & Rakim Paid in Full shirt from 1988. He was wearing it one night when he ran into Nas and I got an email shortly after "Nas was SWEATING the last tee you sold me.....GOOD LOOKIN"!

Throughout the years we would link up whenever he was in Boston or I was out in LA and he was always more than generous to me and my girl. If we were in LA he would ask us if we wanted to go the the club he was spinning, If he was in Boston he would always tell us to shoot down to grub and last year he invited us to Vegas for New Years where he was spinning at the Luxor. Shortly after the plane crash AM went on tour with Jay Z. He hit us up when the tour stopped in Boston and we went to to grab lunch before the show. We talked about Sneakers, Vintage, Celtics vs Lakers and life in general. We told him that we were still trying to move to LA and he said "You guys better, its the best city in the world and life's too short..................."

The thing I'll remember most is our love for our respective NBA teams (Celtics & Lakers). Since the first day I met him up untill this past Lakers championship almost every game we would text each other and talk shit about the other teams....all in good fun!! He always said when I move to LA he would turn me into a Lakers fan, but we all know that was never happening, hahaha. When the Celtics and Lakers face off this year I will be watching, rooting for my team as he would his and waiting for a text from him saying how much the Celtics blow and the Lakers are going back to back, hahahaha

I'll end it with a quote from one of his good friends DJKevinScott "I guess God really wanted a DJ and he got a damn good one!"

Rest in Peace Homie!
