Sample...

Niketalker airmaxwun just posted pics of these white Nike FLOM dunk hi's. He didnt give any info on them so I'm not sure if they are samples or a custom job. I'll let you know if I hear anything else but either way I think I'll stick with my Livestrong FLOM's.

DJ AM x Nike...

Above are some pics that recently surfaced of the DJ AM x Nike Dunk hi collabo that was in the works before Adam passed. These are the 1st actual pics posted on the blogs but I actually saw them a couple weeks back when a sample pair got listed on eBay. I think they are super clean and they remind me of one of my favorite GR dunks, the Orange/Obsidian Footaction Dunk Hi that dropped years ago. The back heel features 3M perforated heel detailing in reference to a turntable and the DJ AM "AC DC" logo is stitched on the tongue tag as well as printed on the insole. Not release date info as of yet but I'll let you know if I hear anything.

If you can't take the HEAT...

As I mentioned before some of AM's rarer kicks are on display at the 3 UNDFTD locations. I went next door to see which ones were on display and came back with drool marks all over my t-shirt. Above are the 5 pairs on display and to be quite honest 4 of the 5 are some of the rarest and most sought after Nikes on the planet . The Turtle AF1's, the UNDFTD Jordan IV's, the Eminem Jordan IV's, the Playstation AF1's and the Paris dunk sb's are all amazing kicks from AM's mind boggling personal collection.

Steal or Deal...

The vintage Nike Dunks above ended last week on eBay for $271.00 and I ask the question: Steal, Deal or Overpaid??? I guess it really comes down to preference because some people would rather buy a crisp new pair of dunks for $100-$150 over a 25yr old pair of used sneakers for $270 but would you?? The dunks were a sz 9.5 in Michigan's Maize & Blue colors which were part of the original University Dunk colorways. The thing about vintage Dunks is you can usually wear them without any cracking (from my past experiences) unlike most older Nikes like Air Techs for example or even OG Jordans. I had a pair of the OG Michigan dunks Hi's a while back that I think I sold for over $300, maybe even $400 I cant remember. These most likely ended up in the hands of a collector for display purposes or sentimental value rather than someone looking to rock a pair of OG dunks.

Gucci Mane Says...

...those kicks would match my hat!! I picked these up yesterday at Footlocker HOH in the Beverly Ctr. I havent bought a pair of dunks in a long time so I said what the hell and scooped them up. It was more of an impulse buy but whatever, I'll rock em until the soles fall off! P.S. The quality of the leather is not the greatest.....they dont make em like they used to!!!

The New Black...

These might be the best Nike dunk hi's of the year (actually 2nd best to the Livestrong Futura's which I love). New from Nike is a pair of all black Dunk Hi (albeit the soles), which is crafted from a mix of leather with a wool-like ankle panel, giving the shoes an opulent anthracite feeling. The kicks are paired with white and clear sole unit, and the tongue tag features the words “Athletics North”. The shoes are tough looking and the fabric accents give these shoes and extra legitimacy for the colder days. Source

The Beast of the East...

I posted these a couple months back and they are finally hitting the shelves as we speak. The ostrich-infused leather and gum bottoms set it off and although the colorway had been dead for awhile these might get a hallway pass. These are the East dunk hi Supreme from the upcoming East vs West Pack. Check with your local Nike retailers this weekend for more info. Source

Junk in the Dunk...

Check out this creation by Gabriel Dishaw called the Junk Dunk. The shoe is a sz 9.5 and weighs 5 lbs but unfortunatley they aren't for sale because they are part of Gabriel's personal collection. "I used very little wire and more glue to keep the piece more clean, and less bulky. I also added new details, a hinged tongue and nike logo's on both the tongue and back of the shoe. On previous models I used a real nike sole to build of off. With this piece I started from scratch and build the sole from circuit boards. "

Slam DUNK...

Complex just complied a list of The 50 Best Nike Dunks Of All Time (non sb's) for back to school. Im not sure how the list was put together but I could easily replace about half of the dunks that they posted. Where are the all the Co.jp's??? Even some of the general release footaction dunksshould be on the list IMO. I do love the livestrong FLOM's and and the Orchard Street I dunk although I think the siempre fresco's are ten times better. Coming in at #1 was the Wu Tang dunks which are super rare but I dont think they are the best dunk of all time by any means. Anyways head over to Complex to see the whole list.

Dunks...

I'm starting to pack for my move and need to sell A TON of stuff!!!! I'll be listing stuff on eBay and I'll also throw pics on the blog so if you're interested you can email me directly Kirk@ForAllToEnvy.com. Above are 10 pairs of Dunk hi's (all used) and I'm looking to get around $400 OBO ($40 per pair). They are all used but some have only been worn a couple times and other have been worn a lot but still in GREAT condition. Honstly if I had time I would clean them up and probably sell them seperately for more. I'm pretty sure I only have 2 of the boxes (green/white and grey patent) and no extra laces or anything. Some pairs are 1999's, some are Limited and some are just rare GR's.

I Love Money...

I havent been this excited for a sneaker drop in quite some time. The original Futura FLOM's (For Love or Money) dropped in 05 and only 24 pairs were created which were given to friends and family. The odds of me getting a hold of them were slim to none, unless I was willing to shell out 5-10K which wasnt happening in this life time!!! Well good news for me and anyone else who loved the concept of the FLOM dunk because Futura has reworked his original design into a new FLOM dunk for the livestrong pack.

When asked why he wanted to be involved in the collection, Futura says, “The opportunity to contribute to what Lance is doing with LIVESTRONG is the primary motivation. It also marks the return of the FOR LOVE or MONEY . . . the FLOM has been re-minted.” The LIVESTRONG x Futura x Nike Dunk Hi releases on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 with a retail price of $150 and 100% of the proceeds go towards the Lance Armstrong Foundation for Cancer research. DJ AM x Nike...

Yesterday DJ AM posted the above message on his twitter page. For a "sneakerhead" this is the pinnacle of collaborations and a huge honor. I'm psyched to see how they come out and I'm just glad they're not gonna be Lakers colors ;-)

Blue Lobster...

Today, after much speculation, Cambridge-based Concepts have announced it will be releasing the Blue Lobster Dunk Low Premium, marking the shops second foray into the Nike SB collaboration game. As you may remember, on May 31, 2008 the first “Lobster” arrived at the “Concepts Shipping Company” and came packaged with a poster, lobster claw rubber band, tee shirt and condiment box, with the first 50 pairs being boxed in a wooden lobster trap.

The Blue Lobster sneaker will be bagged, tagged and sealed in a HAZMAT foam container. Each pair will be joined by an official Nike SB tee shirt, hang tag and lace lock. The first 200 pairs will come with 1 of 2 Concepts x Alien Workshop skate decks. The Concepts x Nike SB “Blue Lobster” Dunk Low Premium will be released on June 20, 2009 and are priced at $250.00 USD. Concepts will also be raffling off a pair of the original Lobster from 2008 during the line-up. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each and the drawing will be held immediately following the release.

After the launch of the Blue Lobster, Concepts will host the Official Blue Lobster Party, featuring a number of special guests and performers including DJ Statik Selektah, Termanology and Masspike Miles. The “Brew Live Cruise” will take place on board the MV Freedom, docked at Rowes Wharf in Boston, MA. Boarding begins at 8:00 pm and the vessel leaves at 9:00 pm sharp! Admission is $30 and only offered to those that are 21+. Source

Gucci Gucci Gucci...

Lookin at my Gucci's it's about that time! I actually like these better than the denim sample pair that Nike SB is rumored to release for the holiday. The Red/Black/Green "Gucci" colors have been used and abused but these seem to take the overplayed colorway and make it actually look unforced. Maybe its the ostrich leather or maybe the gum sole but I think they came out super clean. These will be released at the House of Hoops and at select Foot Locker Stores in October. Source

For Love or Money...

For those that dont know, above are the original FLOM dunks. Futura, the designer of the shoe only created 24 pairs which were given to friends and family. Different currencies from all over the world is seen on the Nike Dunk SB High FLOM, this distinctive design can be identified by almost anyone who is familiar with the Nike sb's. Don’t expect to find these at a local shoe boutique, these have hit co-consignment stores like Flight Club with price tags ranging from $9,000 to $16,000 depending on the size. These released in 2005 and your only real chance to obtain a pair is most likely from a sb team rider selling his personal pair on eBay but there are a lot of fakes floating around so be careful.

FLOM...

I need these in my life!!!!! Taking some of the more highly coveted sneaker designs in recent times, Nike works up a special LIVESTRONG Greatest Hits Collection, featuring eight different designs re-mixed with the LIVESTRONG touch. Split into two drops, the first half of the collection will see a release in July 2009, during the Tour de France. Included within the first release will be the highly praised and sought after, FLOM (For Love Or Money) Dunk High, featuring a currency motif amongst the traditional LIVESTRONG black/yellow color scheme. Other releases in the lineup are sure to follow, stay tuned. Source
