I like the CONCEPTS...

On Black Friday Concepts and New Balance dropped a collaborative collection titled “The Freedom Trail”. The two-pack series features an iconic classic in the 1500 joined up with an all new debutant, the 875 boot. The collection is inspired by The Freedom Trail, a historic aspect of Boston’s landscape which hold a strong place in background of both Boston-area entities. These actually dropped next door at UNDFTD but I havent gone over yet to check em out in person but I'm feelin the 875 boot for the cold winter months in New England.....oh wait I live in sunny LA now, no more snow for me!!! Lobstah...

I'm a sucker for unique packaging and the new CNCPTS blue lobster sb HAZMAT foam container is dope!!! I'm not a huge fan of the sneaker itself but they will definitley sell out quick and turn some heads in the street. I liked the 1st lobster SB they released last year better but these aren't bad. A release is scheduled for this Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11:00 am and Concepts will also be raffling off a pair of the original Lobster from 2008. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each and the drawing will be held immediately following the release on June 20th.

Blue Lobster...

Today, after much speculation, Cambridge-based Concepts have announced it will be releasing the Blue Lobster Dunk Low Premium, marking the shops second foray into the Nike SB collaboration game. As you may remember, on May 31, 2008 the first “Lobster” arrived at the “Concepts Shipping Company” and came packaged with a poster, lobster claw rubber band, tee shirt and condiment box, with the first 50 pairs being boxed in a wooden lobster trap.

The Blue Lobster sneaker will be bagged, tagged and sealed in a HAZMAT foam container. Each pair will be joined by an official Nike SB tee shirt, hang tag and lace lock. The first 200 pairs will come with 1 of 2 Concepts x Alien Workshop skate decks. The Concepts x Nike SB “Blue Lobster” Dunk Low Premium will be released on June 20, 2009 and are priced at $250.00 USD. Concepts will also be raffling off a pair of the original Lobster from 2008 during the line-up. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each and the drawing will be held immediately following the release.

After the launch of the Blue Lobster, Concepts will host the Official Blue Lobster Party, featuring a number of special guests and performers including DJ Statik Selektah, Termanology and Masspike Miles. The “Brew Live Cruise” will take place on board the MV Freedom, docked at Rowes Wharf in Boston, MA. Boarding begins at 8:00 pm and the vessel leaves at 9:00 pm sharp! Admission is $30 and only offered to those that are 21+. Source

Irish Pride...

A couple days ago I posted the Adidas x House of Pain Campus sneakers that are dropping next week and no there are pictures of the Adidas x House Of Pain x Concepts Basketball Jersey to match. Unfortunately the jersey is very limited quantities and will only be given to friends and family however 5 signed jerseys will be raffled at the event. So your best bet to get one of these is to A) know the peeps at CNCPTS or B) get in line early and pray that you have the luck of the irish and get lucky with the raffle, hahaha.

New Pickup...

I wasnt sure if I was gonna like the new Max Orange Jordan I's but after seeing them in person they grew on me. I was out and about in Boston/Cambridge today and stopped by Concepts and they had 1 pair left in my size so I scooped them up. They are actualy better than I thought they would be and I love the use of the nylon!!

CNCPTS x Red Wing...

Red Wings are the shit!! I used to wear them back in the day when I worked some odd jobs and they were like heaven for your feet. Recently Red Wings have become more of a fashion statement than work boot but either way the quality is still top notch. The 875 is the classic 6" boot that is one of more sought after styles and has seen recent collabos with companies such as Huf, Nom De Guerre & David Z to name a few. The above CNCPTS collabo comes in a nice brown leather and waxed olive canvas, features red laces, white sole and nice white contrasting stitching and the Concepts logo embossed on the tongue. I gotta give props to the CNCPTS crew because I think they did a great job on this collabo. There is no exact release date yet but these will be available in the near future at Concepts in Cambridge and other select retailers. Source Highsnob
