I'm not a big Air Yeezy fan but I must admit these prototypes are pretty dope! I like the all black murdered out steez with the Jordan VI sole! Anyways these were auctioned off last week for charity with all of the proceeds benefiting the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. The auction ended for $7,400.00 while the other pair that Kanye wore at the Grammy's went for $16,500.00 !!

Chi McBride and Mark Smith unveiled them a few weeks ago, and it’s a one-of-a-kind, all black Air Yeezy sitting atop an Air Jordan VI tooling. As Chi says, “Of which there is only one. None before it. None to come.” According to Mark, Kanye himself has never even seen them. Made in size 12, the Yeezy/ VI includes a custom lasered white box, along with one of the very first sketches that Mark Smith knocked out at the beginning of the project some two years ago.

Below I posted the Kanye 180's from a couple years back and everyone in their mama knows about the Air Yeezy's, right? We'll what would happen if you took the features of the Air 180's and slapped them on the Air Yeezy??? BP just did a couple new photoshops and one of them happened to be the Kanye Air 180 Yeezy shown above. I personally dont care for the colorway, I just wanted to show BP's dope photoshop job. Source

Above are some pretty rare Nike 180's that you might or might not have seen before. If you said the latter than I'll fill you in real quick, they are the Kanye West Nike Air 180’s made for exclusively for the Kanye himself. The sneaker features a mostly black base with blue highlights, a red swoosh, orange above the air unit, leopard print heel and his siganture bear logo on the tongue and insole. Im not sure exactly how many pairs were produced because Ive seen a couple floating around and you can usually catch on on ebay with a buy it now of a couple thousand.

How Low Can You Go...

I personally always though the Air Yeezys would look better as a low top version. Well not too long ago BP did a lowtop photoshoped version that came out pretty dope. I personally might have bought them if they were released in a low. The low-top version looks like a Jordan III with a strap and not to mention an icy sole similar to the sample III's. Who knows if Nike will release the Air Yeezys in a low but from the reactions Ive seen I think it might be a good idea.

If you read the blog youve probably seen me post some custom photoshops by BP aka Beyond Possible. I honestly think he creates some of the best colorways/designs Ive ever seen and I wish Nike would get the hint and release some of them. Anyways everyone knows that the Air Yeezys released todays in the Zen Grey / Light Charcoal colorway which are ok I guess but not really my cup of tea. I'll just cut to the chase, above are the ones that released today and a phosothoped pair that BP did a week ago. I personally think BP's are 10 times better than the colorway that released today and I dont know if its just me but the solid grey color with the carolina blue piping and the icy sole looks amazing (no pun intended)!!!

Air Yeezy...

1 week from today is the day many sneakerheads have been waiting for all year. Thats right the most talked about sneaker aka The Nike Air Yeezy will be dropping on 4/4/09 at the House Of Hoops in Harlem, and both the 34th street locations of Foot Locker and Footaction. The sneakers will retail for whopping $215 (how could you be so Heartless?) which Im not 100% positive but thats gotta be one of if not the highest retail price for a pair of Nike's. All I can say is you might wanna get there early, Im talking like right now early, like leave your house immediately early, like if you could travel back in time.....leave a week ago early!!!! Im thinkin this will be a Nike Dunk SB Pigeon type of release, some Black Friday Wal-Mart crazy type ish so be prepared and just an FYI there are already some pairs on ebay and one is currently at $630 with 1 day left......CRAZY!! Eventhough I dont like these at all hopefully I'll get a pair in the mail for all the ghost blogging Ive been doing for Kanye lately.......I Joke, I Joke, I Kid, I Kid!!!!

It Aint Eazy Being Yeezy...

It looks like the next couple of months are gonna be filled with Kanye, Kanye and more Kanye. Above are all the styles and colorways of the 2 Kanye collborations with Nike and Louis Vuitton. The first drop is in April and will be the Air Yeezy Zen Grey/LT Charcoal colorway, followed in May by the Air Yeezy Black/ Black version, and in June the final AIr Yeezy Net/Net colorway. Right around the time of the final Air Yeezy drop in June the Louis Vuitton collabo should hit the stores. After seeing the final three Air Yeezy I definitely wont be picking any of those up!!! The LV's arent really my cup of tea either but I will admit Im kinda feelin the all black Hi's but Im thinkin the price tag will be around $500-$1000 so start saving your lunch money. Kanye X LV part 2....

A couple weeks ago the 1st Kanye x LV collabo hit the internet and had people buzzing like a swarm of killer bees. Now thanks to Hypebeast we have pics of the 2nd design out of the rumored 6 to release. I dont think the overall design is that bad (nothing ground breaking) but I dont really like all red kicks and I dont care for that big cushion on the back heel. The heel cushion looks like its a stopper for a grocery cart...you know when youre walking in front of someone and they run into your heel with the cart and it hurts like hell!!!! Anyways these will be available in June at LV stores and the price is TBD.
