TTK x AM90...

The homie TTK hasn't done a custom pair of kicks in a while so it was nice to see these AM90's pop up on his Blog. Inspired by the paint chipping on his desk (talk about random, Mike) these are named "Snowblind's." When I saw them I thought they were for a Stormtrooper to rock at the next Star Wars convention! Either way they came out dope and it looks like TTK is back on his grizzy so stay tuned!

Damn Pigeons...

A couple weeks ago a CUSTOM pair ofAM90 "pigeons" popped up and had the internet going cuckoo for cocoa puffs! Yesterday yet another "pigeonesque" pair of AM90's hit the net but this time it was done on Nike ID. Jeff Staple posted on his blog that another fan hit him up with this pic of his NIKE ID creation which was inspired by the Staple colorway. The only real difference between the true colors is “Infrared” was used instead of the “orange/pink/salmon” accent but it still looks dope IMO. Honestly if Nike released these (without the pigeon on the heel) I would buy a pair for sure....hint hint! Better yet I might just go over to NIKE ID and create my own pair :-)

WD"I"WT...

Polo Rugby Fearless Fifteen x Air max 95 "Monsters". The Monsters are my all time favorite Air Max 95's and these took me so long to track down in a sz 11. I remember searching for over a year and asking everyone and anyone if they could help me out and still came up empty handed. I even bought a sz 10 to try and squish into but they didn't work out to well, now I have hammer toes HAHAHA just kidding! I finally found a pair a couple years back on a Japan sneaker site and it was a great feeling finally checking these off my grail list!

What Recession...

I was watching these on eBay this week and was pretty suprised they went for as much as they did...... $543.00!! I think the hype of the retros that dropped this weekend might've bumped up the price a bit because I've seen them sell for $300-$400 in the past. The shoes are Deadstock but they are B -Grades with an unmarked box and the seller also has the original receipt which I always think is cool because you get to see what he actually paid for them 20 years ago (retail was $49.99). The air bubbles are very cloudy and I'd put money on it that they would crack failry quickly but they would make a great collectors item for show and tell :-) Source

Another Day, Another Sample...

I seems like everyday TY from LDRS1354 posts a new fall sample and today was no different. Above are some retro Nike Air Max ST's set to drop this fall and I must say they are looking super clean!! First released in 92′ the ST quickly became a favorite for Air Max fanatics and its been a long time coming for the retro. I actually think I have a super beat pair of the OG's in the basement somewhere. I'll have to check and if so bring them back to life!!! Source

Samples...

TY from Leaders1354 just posted some Nike samples that caught my eye. The first pair is the mint Air Max 95's that recently dropped but as you can see the sample pair Nike had 3m on the lace hoops but I guess they scrapped that idea for production. The second pair at first glance looked like some new ATC II's and I was pumped. After a closer look I realized they were the ATC hybrids which I'm not a huge fan of but I'm not gonna lie, this colorway is kinda dope........black suede/patent and mint green accents!!! The third pair is a classic in every sense of the word, Penny II atlantic blue and white (home colorway). These are a must for the summer and they are rumored to be a Quckstrike dropping in the near future so keep your eye peeled. Source

The Chosen 1's...

You cant go wrong with bringing a classic back in its original form and original colorways.........its not rocket science! If you're a fan of the simplicty that Nike create than these are calling your name. The Air Max 1 is making a comeback in its two OG colorways above (white/grey/red and white/grey/blue colorway). These are available now at select retailers as a Quickstrike drop so dont sleep (kinda like I'm doing right now at 3am). Source

Newly MINTed...

This is the year of the Air Max 95 and Jordan I retros and thats not a bad thing. Next up on the AM95 calender is the fresh summertime colorway of cool mint green. The colorway is real subtle and even a little hard to see in the pics but hopefully its stands out more in person. These will be hitting Footlockers this week (Wednesday/Thursday depending on location) so keep yours eyes peeled. Source

As Seen On...

Spike Lee looking like a 7th grader at middle school walking down the hall with his bookbag, his report card in his hand, a scraped knee from recess and a fresh pair of OG Neon Air Max 95's!!!

Guess Who's Back...

..back again, the Neon AM95 is back, tell a friend!! Is it me or does it seem like Nike is retroing these every year?? I can't really complain because they are the greatest air max 95 ever and you could have 20 pairs and it wouldnt be a bad thing, we'll maybe not 20 but you catch my drift. Don't get your panties in a bunch just yet though because these are part of Nike’s Spring 2010 lineup so you'll have to wait till next year to cop them.

Livestrong...

Im no gonna lie these are some of the best Air Maxes Ive seen in awhile!! In my opinion you cant go wrong with black/ yellow (Wu-Tang, Bruins, Batman) and the speckled midsole is icing on the cake. Inspired by their long-standing LIVESTRONG Campaign, Nike work up a new collection of Air Max sneakers featuring the iconic yellow colorway amongst black/white/grey backdrops. The pack will feature the classic Air Max 1, Air Max 90 and Air Max 180 runners which are all slated to drop this Saturday May 16th exclusively at the retailers below:
ALIFE (New York City)
Bodega (Boston)
Darkside (San Francisco)
Dave’s Quality Meat (NYC)
Goods (Seattle)

Parra x Nike...

Above are pics of a new collabo between Nike and Dutch artist Parra. The sneaker is an Air Max 1 that features an all black upper with interesting use of different premium materials. The mid-sole is speckled in the artist’s trademark colors and the in-soles carry his art. Accents on the sneakers upper are set in turquoise. Even the stitching comes in the artists colors, which is a very nice detail, on the otherwise very subtle looking shoe. These have similar details to the Amsterdam Air max 1's with the speckeled midsole and teal accents but are a little more low key upper. The shoes are expected to release in the coming months so check back for more details. Source

In-Fa-Red...

Boy Oh Boy did I wanna click buy it now on these but $900 was a bit too rich for my blood. Above is an amazing specimen of vintage Nike running sneakers in the form of the Air Max 90. These are hands down the cleanest pair of OG inafreds Ive ever seen and they come complete with the box, tissue paper, brochure and anatomical arch supports. The air unit is sooooo clear, they look like they just came out of the factory. Almost everyone will agree the Infared 90s will go down in history as one of, if not the best runner that Nike will ever release. Designer Tinker Hatfield blended and mixed the colors and shapes from the midsole to the upper, producing a unique, fast, and aggressive look. The midsole was separated into front and back compartments to allow for a range of performance and material options. This shoe featured a first in the multi-lace port system, one of seven molded parts on the upper. These would definitely make a great display piece but I can almost guarantee they would crack if you tried to wear them........but I still would've tried :-)

Hot Red On A Platter...

This looks like the year of the Air ax 95 and here is another colorway for your viewing pleasure. Closely resembling the infra-red this color is a definite win in my book. These blk/hotred/gry AM 95's should be hitting Foot Locker this May so keep your eye peeled! Source

Max Orange...

One of my favorite Nike runners of all time gets a new facelift with the Max Orange colorway. Im not sure how I fell about this colorway because to me the Infared 90's are one of the most classic sneakers in Nike history. Although the colors are very similar I cant quite look at these the same way as the Infareds. However I thought the same way about the Jordan I max Oranges but when I saw them in person I caved in and bought them. There is no exact release date yet but I ill keep you posted if I hear anything. Source
