DeLong was most known for their Varsity jackets but they also produced some Satin jackets. They are almost identical to Starter but it was the Star logo on the sleeve that made all the difference....and still does to this day. The Gray jacket is a vintage Team Rated which we've had in the past and just came up on a bunch more (Magic, Hornets & White Sox).

If I had to choose between this and the Bulls combo below I'd probably take the Bulls but this is a very close second. The jacket is by Long Gone (another under the radar brand from the 90s) and the snapback is yet another Starter denim. Both NWT's, the Jacket is sz Lrg and the hat is the last one in stock......don't sleep.

Team Rated was possibly the most unknown sports apparel brand of the 90's. With brands like Starter and Chalk Line leading the way a lot of smaller companies fell by the wayside and were shunned like the plague. However our job is to find these "hidden gems" and bring them back to the light and let people see the quality that they possibly overlooked decades ago. These varsity jackets put most new brands to shame and looking back they could've easily gone toe to toe with the big dogs.

Magic Trick...

We just got in this dope vintage Converse Magic Johnson varsity jacket! Nylon body, Leather sleeves and killer colorway is a recipe for freshness! This jacket was part of the Magic by Converse line they debuted in the late 80s and I actually think there was a pair of MX THRILLIN's that matched this jacket.

Varsity (Jacket) Blues...

I have a small obsession with Varsity Jackets and I was watching this one on eBay a couple weeks back. I wasnt going to bid on it but I wanted to see what it sold for and it ended at $280. A newer varsity jacket can retail for upwards of $500 and this bad boy is 40+ yrs old and cooler than most. The Blackhawks have had the same logo since 1964/65 but you know the old sayin; if it aint broke, dont fix it and this logo is too good to be messed with! Also check out the old Butwin tag which is classic!!!

The item up for bid is a true 1960s vintage Chicago Blackhawks BUTWIN wool/leather varsity jacket...complete with the original Butwin tagging in the collar, which was the brand of choice for the Blackhawks back in the good old days. This jacket is a very heavyweight leather and wool construction, as it was intended for colder weather...I don't think of this so much as a wearable but more of a displayable, collectible item. The looks of it are simply stunning in my opinion. The bold colors, and intricate embroidery work on the cresting and tomahawks make this one grab you right away. This was reported to have come from a former Blackhawk and these are the same types players were issued. The only other jacket like this that I have ever seen offered for sale, was Pit Martin's and it sold for $850 years ago

Speaking of Varsity jackets the new Supreme x WTAPS melton jacket looks dope!!! I'm feelin the old baseball style patches and the S&W logo but could do without the 21203 on the left chest. The jackets are reversible which is always a plus because you can rock one side during the day, then switch it up for the night. There are also some t-shirts and pillows in the collection which will be releasing in-store next Tues Dec 29th.
