Dome is where the heart is...

Another vintage Costacos Brothers poster from our stash! Pat Swilling, Vaughan Johnson, Sam Mills and Rickey Jackson aka The Dome Patrol were the Saints linebacker corp of the late 80s, early 90s. During their reign, the Saints made four playoff appearances, including the franchise's first ever playoff appearance in 87 and also claimed one western division title. The Saints' defense led the league in least points surrendered and turnovers in 1991, and again in least points surrendered in 1992. The defense also boasted twenty-seven games giving up ten or fewer points, with five shutouts. The four linebackers made NFL history by collectively being named to the Pro Bowl in 1992.

This is one of the more collectible Costacos posters out there, last year one sold on eBay for $500!!!

Full Metal Jackets...

Team Rated was possibly the most unknown sports apparel brand of the 90's. With brands like Starter and Chalk Line leading the way a lot of smaller companies fell by the wayside and were shunned like the plague. However our job is to find these "hidden gems" and bring them back to the light and let people see the quality that they possibly overlooked decades ago. These varsity jackets put most new brands to shame and looking back they could've easily gone toe to toe with the big dogs.

Defense Wins Championships...

Remember in Football when you could actually tackle the Quarterback without getting a personal foul?!?!?! Singletary, Wilson & Marshall were some bad mother shut you mouth linebackers that would hit you so hard your unborn baby would feel it!! These guys made sacking QB's a Sunday tradition like going to Church. I''ve never liked the Bears especially after they embarresed my team in Super Bowl XX, but like the title says...... defense wins championships!

YO Peyton, I'm Open Man...

The Colts are in the superbowl.....as if anyone really thought the Jets would beat them. Above is a vintage 1991 (Peyton was only 15 at the time) Bart Simpson Colts sweatshirt that we have in stock. Unlike the Black Bart apparel these NFL Bart tees/sweatshirts were actually licensed and not some canal street bootleg special! If I was a Colts fan I would wear this on Super Bowl Sunday....I'm just sayin!!!

Fitted Fridays...

The game I want to watch most this weekend is the Vikings vs Cowboys, hence the hat selection above. In the picture above Favre probably told Romo "Just pack it up and plan your vacation because me an "All Day" are gonna smoke you like a cuban cigar on Sunday!" For real though the Cowboys are hot right now but is it a fluke or can they actually go all the way.....only time will tell! Dawg Pound...

Bow Wow Wow Yippee Yo Yippee Yay, check out this vintage Cleveland Browns snapback hat that we got in today. The old Elf logo was used by the Browns from 1950-1969 so I'm assuming the hat is from that era. The hat was made by Funkap which was a cap company formed in the 40's based out of St Louis, MO. The Browns are the only team in the NFL that does not have a logo on their helmets......no wonder why they stink so bad!! Art Modell did away with the Brownie Elf in the mid-1960s, believing it to be too childish! I think its a cool logo and it would look dope on the side of those plain old orange helmets of theirs. If you're a OG Browns fan A: I feel sorry for you and B: This might be the coolest hat on the planet!!

Starter Combo...

The Jets NEED a win this Sunday against the Bengals to make the playoffs or they'll be watching the games on the coach like the rest of us! If they do make the playoffs this is the dopest Starter combo on the planet! Vintage Jets Starter sweatshirt (sz XL) and the matching Starter snapback hat!

Big Blue Wrecking Crew...

The Giants have about the same chance of making the playoffs as me hooking up with Kate Hudson, 36%........so you're saying there's a chance!!!! After a 5-0 start it looked like the men in blue were cruising through the season but they've lost 7 out of the last 10 and their playoffs hopes are slipping away. OK honestly I dont care if they make the postseason or not Im just trying to sell these vintage Magic Johnson T's which we have in stock, in a full sz run might I add.....that's it!

Vest Dressed like a Million Bucks...

The Steelers chances of making the playoffs are slim and none but there is a chance. I'm not gonna get into the whole who has to beat who mumbo jumbo but I will tell you this, the vest above is superfly like Jimmy Snuka!! The vest is made by Stahl-Urban and puts a Moncler vest to shame, hahaha. For real though Steelers fans are some of the most loyal fans in the NFL and this vest will bring a tear to a grown mans eye. All you need is a pair of Steelers Zubaz, a Terrible Towel plus this Vest and you're good to go for this Sundays game against the Dolphins!

Bulletproof VEST...

Above is a vintage LA Rams vest made by Stahl-Urban. I don't know the exact history of the company but they had NFL licensing back in the 70's/80's and created some great apparel including vests, jacket and sweaters. LA Rams gear is pretty hard to come by now-a-days so its always nice to find a dope piece like this. The size is XL and its available now in-store! P.S. These are NOT really bulletproof incase you didnt realize that, thank you!

Ditka...

Need an outfit for Halloween? This one is pretty simple, yet classic:

Lions & Tigers & Bears...

This one goes out to Jim at SDB because he always post that 1st picture when he goes to the zoo! Anyways its that time again, time to pull your sweaters out of the attic and gear up for the winter. If youre gonna rock a sweater than why not go with the OG Cliff Engle's and make everyone envy you! The Lions might have gone 0-16 last year but they already won 1 game this year! The Tigers just lost to the Twins and didnt make the playoffs which stinks. The Bears are cool beacuse of the super fans.....DA BEARS! Seriously though the Ditka sweater is hands down the best sweater on the planet and the other 2 arent to shabby either!

I wanna fly like an Eagle...

The Eagles have been getting a lot of publicity lately with the Michael Vick signing and I'm actually excited too see him play. Anyways above is a vintage Eagles Chalk Line sweatshirt that we have in stock and its sick! I had the jacket awhile back but I've never seen the sweatshirt until now. Beanie Man...

I used to have this same beanie when I was younger and I just got two of them in today. Boy do I miss the old minuteman logo, that was the coolest logo ever!!! Also pictured above is an actual Sears catalog from 1980 (click to enlarge) where you could purchase these winter hats along with the matching varsity jackets!!!
