Oops....gotcha, clutch like Piazza- Ad Rock

Piazza is often regarded as the best-hitting catcher of all time and *Insert Gay Piazza Joke Here*. This is one of the dopest minor league snapbacks north of the Mexican border. The Albuquerque Dukes are best known for being the LA Dodgers minor league affiliate from 1972–2000. During that stretch many familiar faces rocked the Spanish conquistador cap including The Godfather, Tommy Lasorda. Lasorda coached the Dukes in the early 70's and led them to the PCL Championship in 1972. In the early 1990s, future stars such as Pedro Martínez, Raúl Mondesí, Paul Konerko and Mike Piazza called Alberquerqe home before getting called up the the big leagues.

I'm the BEE'S KNEES...

And another one.....vintage minor league fitted that is. The Burlington Bees are a Class A minor league baseball team, affiliated with the KC Royals (2001-Present), that play in the Midwest League. The Bees have farmed many big leaguers through the years as well as a handful of Hall of Famers such as Catfish Hunter & Paul Molitor. Speaking of former Bees players, you might reconginze this name; Ugueth Urbina. Yup the same Ugueth Urbina that is currently serving a 14 yr prison sentence for attempted murder once played on the Bees and was the ace of the pitching staff in '93, going 10-1 with a 1.99 ERA. I dont see what the big deal is, Urbina merely tried to show a few of his farm workers his machete and then give them a bath in Gasolina....I think he was hanging out with Daddy Yankee at the time. So with all that being said, we have sizes 7 3/8 & 7 1/2 in stock.

A Major League story in a Minor League town...

Above are a couple more vintage Minor League fitteds we have in stock. First up is the Winnipeg Goldeyes, the name derives from a relatively small freshwater fish popular in Manitoba as a delicacy when smoked. The Goldeyes were founded in 1994 and are a member of the Northern League, which is not affiliated with MLB. The Goldeyes won the championship their inaugural year but haven't been back since which just makes this hat cooler, don't ask why!

The next team is none other than the Asheville Tourists. I've always loved their logo.....it makes me wanna pack up my suitcase, grab my louisville fuckin slugger and take a vacation somewhere warm!! The Tourists are a Class A team based in Asheville, NC and have been a farm team of the Colorado Rockies since 1994. In 1968, the Tourists won the Southern League championship under manager Sparky Anderson. Fun Fact: The Tourists would play a "minor" role in the movie Bull Durham starring Kevin Costner as Crash Davis. Crash would finish his baseball career as a member of the Tourists after being cut from the Durham Bulls; it was with Asheville that he would break the all-time minor league home run record.

Sounds like a plan...

The Nasville Sounds are a MiLB team currently playing out of the Pacific Coast League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Established as a Double-A team in 1978, the Sounds moved up to the Triple-A level in 1985. The team has served as a farm club for six major league franchises: New York Yankees (1980–1984), Detroit Tigers (1985–1986), Cincinnati Reds (1987–1992), Chicago White Sox (1993–1997), Pittsburgh Pirates (1998–2004) and Milwaukee Brewers (2005–present). Enough with the history lesson, the old logo is so dope that Elvis would cry at the mere sight of this cap. All blue crown, grey underbrim, MiLB logo on the back and Donnie Baseball approved. When you was clocking MINOR figures...

A couple more vintage Minor Leagues fitteds for you viewing pleasure. The first hat none other than the Memphis Chicks aka the team BO Jackson played for in 86 before being called up to the majors. The second hat is the Butte Copper Kings aka the Burger King hat. Both hats are so dope and the quality/fit is amazing....unlike some of the newer fitteds. Called up from the Minors...

A month or so ago (its all a big blur) we got in a couple hundred vintage minor league fitteds and here are a couple more we have in stock. Both hats are from the inaugural year (1993) of the Hawaii Winter Baseball league, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The HWB league was funded by Major League Baseball and consisted of players from the MLB, Nippon Professional Baseball, the Korea Baseball Organization as well as independent leagues. Some of the former teams include: Lahaina Whalers, Maui Stingrays (both shown above), Hilo Stars, Kauai Emeralds, Kaneohe Bay Dawgs and Kona Man O'Wars. Both of the logos are super dope and the colorways arent too shabby either, only a few in stock so get em while they're hot!!!

Called up from the Minors...

Yesterday we got a shipment of a couple hundred vintage Minor League New Era hats!!! Above are a couple of the teams we got in: The Chattanooga Lookouts, the Albuquerque Dukes and the Lansing Lugnuts. They aint players they just clink a lot!!! Casey & jason are like a two-headed monster traveling the world designing logos for baseball teams that will have your homies saying "Damn, Where'd you get that hat!" I admit I havent bought one of their New Era's yet because of two reasons A: I have more hats than Tiger Woods had mistresses and B: I'm waiting for them to drop the "perfect" design/colorway that will make me say UNGGGGGGH Na-nah na-nah like Master P. Im very picky when it comes to hats and each time I get a new hat it has to go through a process kinda like Flavor of Love (without the spitting and hair pulling) and the winning hat gets a special spot in my rotation. Anyways enough rambling, the Clink Room just dropped their new fitted hat and here are the details:

This Edition features a concept logo taken from their design process with the Clearwater Threshers, Class 'A' Minor League Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Editions are available only at The Clink Room.

Individually Numbered
Each cap is an individually hand numbered. Only 150 pieces are made of each Edition.

Personally Signed
The tags on every cap are personally signed by the project designers.

Cork Underbills
All cap underbills are lined The Clink Room's signature cork fabric, imported from Italy.

Concept Phase
The caps also display the "Concept Phase" handwriting across the back of the cap, identifying the phase of the project the logo was sampled from.

Pencil Trademark
Caps are identified by our trademarked "designers pencil over the ear." The icon changes color according to cap color.

It's Friday, you ain't got no job, you ain't got shit to do!!! This weeks vintage fitted is a Indainapolis Colts New Era, green underbrim, sz 7 1/2 just begging to be worn in Miami next weekend!! Not the flashiest cap in the world but if you're looking for something simple and low key this is the hat for you.

The game I want to watch most this weekend is the Vikings vs Cowboys, hence the hat selection above. In the picture above Favre probably told Romo "Just pack it up and plan your vacation because me an "All Day" are gonna smoke you like a cuban cigar on Sunday!" For real though the Cowboys are hot right now but is it a fluke or can they actually go all the way.....only time will tell! Da (Bay)Bears...

Now Available at The Clink Room! The new 2010 home designed for the Mobile BayBears.

The embroidery incorporates a design concept that we developed while spending a day with New Era’s digitizers in Buffalo. Our goal was make the bear appear to be emerging from the darkness. We started by embroidering the majority of his head in the same color thread as the cap color. Then we broke the large navy area into smaller fur fields, giving the head dimension. Now when the glossy navy thread catches the light, it gives this simple logo a furry 3D look. One we’d never seen before.

The new look also pays homage to the heritage of baseball in The Azalea City, especially the Mobile Bears of the 1940s. If you haven’t made the trek, Mobile defines the romantic Old South. Antebellum mansions, azalea trees, gas lamps and horse-drawn carriages. The new home cap is just part of our 2-year creative overhaul of the BayBears franchise. We’re producing a new Mobile-themed fan experience that includes ballpark mint juleps to rocking chairs. Gunna be classic!

Fitted Fridays...

Its like Friday Night Lights in this beeeatch!! It was a tough decision but todays vintage fitted is a New York Islanders New Era featuing the "Fisherman" logo. This hat is dope and super rare because this logo was only used for 1 year!!! Before the 1995–96 season the Islanders attempted to update their look. The result was the unveiling of a logo depicting a fisherman holding a hockey stick. The logo was a marketing disaster; the reaction among the fan base was so negative that management announced it would revert back to the original logo as soon as league rules allowed them to do so. The traditional logo returned as part of 1996-97's third jersey, and then became the main jersey the following year. We only have 1 in stock, sz 7 1/4 so holler if you're interested!

Charleston Charlies

The Clink Room dropped a new fitted hat just in time for the holidays!! Pirate Charlie is their first official on-field cap offering. They've designed around 100 official on-field caps for Major and Minor League Baseball teams but this one got the first run because of its pure awesomeness! The Charleston Charlies (West Virginia) was the Pittsburgh Pirates AAA franchise from 1971 to 1976. Many Charleston residents will fondly remember the logo of the Charlies – a smiling baseball wearing a derby hat while smoking a cigar. And check this out: The logo appeared on the front page of the Charleston Gazette displaying a smile if the Charlies won, or a frown if the Charlies lost!

The sz 7 1/8 and 7 3/8 are sold out already and the rest are sure to follow so dont sleep.

TGIF mothatruckers!!!!! Todays vintage fitted New Era is sicker than the swine flu, believe that! The hat is an all wool KMG Pro Model by new Era and sz 7 1/8. Although their primary logo was the UH with the Rainbow this features a classic varsity style H on the front and Rainbows written in script on the back. The orange/green colorway is so dope and would go great with some Orachdr Street II's......why did I sell those SMH!!!!! We only have one in stock so if youre interested you know how to get a hold of me.

Prior to the year 2000, the University of Hawaiʻi's men's teams were all referred to as the Rainbow Warriors, complemented by an athletics logo featuring a rainbow. However, in a controversial marketing strategy the school changed its athletics logo to a stylized "H" and allowed each team to pick its own team name. This has led to the current situation, where three teams have retained the team name of "Rainbow Warriors," (basketball, swimming & diving and tennis) one team adopted the name "Rainbows', (baseball) and three teams have adopted the name "Warriors", (football, golf and volleyball).
