Vintage McGregor 50's Hawaiian shirt

It always fun (at least for me) to see where companies get their inspiration. There's the obvious knocks that most people recognize and then there's the ones you think are original until you're surfing eBay at 2am after a long night of drinking and see a similar shirt to the one you just bought at Supreme earlier that day. This being one of the instances, Supreme 2011 Hawaiian shirt "inspired by" a vintage McGregor Hawaiian shirt from the 50's.......sailing, takes me away!!!!!

Speaking of Varsity jackets the new Supreme x WTAPS melton jacket looks dope!!! I'm feelin the old baseball style patches and the S&W logo but could do without the 21203 on the left chest. The jackets are reversible which is always a plus because you can rock one side during the day, then switch it up for the night. There are also some t-shirts and pillows in the collection which will be releasing in-store next Tues Dec 29th.

Inspired By...

On the cover of the Geto Boys album We Can't Be Stopped Bushwick Bill is wearing a vintage Posse hat. Last year Supreme released their own version of the hat which read 94' Supreme Posse to commemorate their first year of business. The hat sold out pretty qucik like most Supreme items and your best bet to find one now-a-days is eBay.

Bud-Weis-Er...

I dont remember what year it was but Supreme dropped a budweiser mesh hat years ago and it was my favorite hat at the time. This year Supreme teams up with Budweiser to bring back some of the vintage classics. Most of the items pictured like the button down, tank top and bucket hat are remakes and you can still find the originals on eBay for fairly cheap but they wont have that Supreme tag ;-) Other items include a duffle bag, tote bag, mesh hat and t-shirt which should be available sometime this summer. Fatality...

Rather than another Nike collabo (which I wouldve prefered) Supreme decided to drop their new in-house shoe for the summer. The shoe features a canvas outer, leather lining and a gum outsole and is available in 5 colorways (red, black, navy, white & brown) I dont know about you but these remind of something Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat would wear **CAUTION** wearing these to skate could result in Liu Kang giving you an oldschool flying bicycle kick......see gif above (via Solesirius). The Supreme Bruin's dropped an hour ago and Im pretty bummed I didnt get a pair. I was at the dentist and my appointment went longer than expected and when I got out at 11:30 they were all sold out!!!!!! Time to check eBay....

What's Bruin...

Supreme always (well almost always IMO) kills their Nike collabos and this time around was no different. Previewed not too long ago these had the streets aka the Internet buzzing like a swarm of killer bees aka the Wu-Tang Clan. The Bruin is one of the 1st Nike basketball sneakers ever produced (also the blazer low) back in 1972 and that was the beginning of something new, something fresh and something unseen before. I personally think the Nike Bruin doesnt get the love it should and to this day I dont think the kids appreciate the history behind the sneaker but leave it up to Supreme to bring the heat out the kitchen and kick it up a notch like my homeboy Emeril....BAM!! The sneakers feature an upper in solid-colored suede with leather on the heel. The Nike Swoosh in metallic materials offers a contrast highlight. A total of four colorways are available including white/red, green/gold, red/gold and black/silver. Releasing alongside the shoes are a series of cotton twill jackets which replicate the same slogan on the back. Available on Supreme NY and LA on April 16th with US online sales starting on April 20th. Supreme stores in Japan will release on April 18th. Source

Something's Bruin...

Supreme x Nike = Mayhem is coming. Everytime Supreme and Nike team up it usually ends up in a killer collabo that will sell out in 10 minutes and fetch top dollar on eBay. So with all that being siad pictures have surfaced of the new Nike SB Zoom Bruin x Supreme Collection that is reportadly dropping mid-April. There will be four colorways, including a red, green, black and a off white with the retail price at $98. I really like the WORLD FAMOUS on the heel, the gold insoles with the Supreme logo and it looks as if there is a metallic swoosh which is a nice touch. There is no exact release date yet but I'll keep you posted if I hear anything. Source

Supreme AF1...

Pics of these supreme cement AF1's have been floating around the internet from the Nike Playmakers Event the other night. These are probably one of the rarest & most sought after sneakers out there especially if you're an AF1 collector. These were samples created in 2002 for the original members of the Nike Skateboarding team only and were never released to the public. A pair (size US 9) just got listed on eBay and this might be your only chance EVER to pick them up but get your money right because they're already at $1,025 with 8 days left and honestly these could go for $3,000-$5,000!!!!!!!!

Supreme x Vans...

Just a heads up for anyone who missed the in-store drop last Thursday.......the Supreme x Vans (Mtn edition & Old Skools) are available now on the Supreme website . The Mtn edition are $98 and the Old Skools are $88. I would be quick because like any Supreme release they are sure to sell out quick!!

Nike X Supreme...

Supreme has been doing collabos with Nike as long as I can remember. From the cement dunk low sb to the Blazer to the Trainer they almost always drop heat that is sure to sell out and increase in value over the years.
