Found this at the dig a few weeks back, 96 was pretty much when Starter had one foot in the grave. They were still releasing a few decent hats like the NBA Crowd pleaser and the NHL Starter roster cap but other than that it was kind of a slippery slope. The Spike cap by Logo Athletic somehow was and still is a popular style and the Sports Specialties Shadow caps seen on Deion and Steve Young were by far the snapback standouts! Champion jerseys

The Ruler's Back...

It's been awhile!!!! I went back East for a week then came back and moved into a new office space, now we're getting ready to switch up the whole store for Fall......Back! We'll be closed on Monday for Labor Day but will re-open Tuesday at 11 with racks on racks on racks of NWT Starter jackets, DeLongs, Chalk Lines, Crewnecks, Sweaters etc........so come through early!!

WWJWD! Big Game James looking cool as the other side of the pillow in his triacetate Starter warm-up and Starter dufflebag, which is most likely used for transporting his goggles and New Balances. In the 1980s triacetate was also used with polyester to create shiny tracksuits which were very popular at the time. The material was very smooth and shiny on the outside and soft and fleecy on the inside......say word!!

A few years back I bought out an old stock of vintage Starter pullovers, they've been buried in storage since.....bring em, bring em out, its hard to yell with the barrel in your mouth!!

There's been a rumor going around for a few years that I worked at Starter in the 90's and I have connects to get vintage deadstock Starter gear. Although it sounds like a good story, it couldnt be farther from the turth........I owned Starter bitches!!!!!! For real though I didnt work there and I don't have any connects or a Goonies map to find One-Eyed Willy's treasure, I just stay on my grizzy. *Update Giants win game 1, 11-7*

Vintage 1993 Eastbay catalog featuring snapbacks from Starter, Roman, Ed's West & Apex One. The Two-Tone Denim, Letterman and Cuban Giants Starter hats were only $14.95 and the white Pinstripe Starter's were on sale for $9.95!!!!!! Our last dig had a bunch of the Ed's West Diamond & Team Theme hats so thats pretty cool to see them in the catalog.

The drought is over......the Blackhawks won their first Stanley Cup in 49 years and we just got in a stack of vintage Game snapbacks and Starter tees!!!

While everyone is hatin' on Bron Bron, I have a new found appreciation for the kid because he put me into a new tax bracket! Last month nobody wanted vintage Miami Heat gear, now its sells like crack in the 80's......thanks Lebron!!

The Spurs are Boring...

Dont front, everyone knows watching the Spurs play is like watching paint dry!!! I could only think of two logical reasons why they are so boring: They're still upset about Ozzy urinating on the Alamo back in 1982, that kinda stuff stays with you for life, like seeing your parents have sex when you were younger....traumatizing!!! OR commissioner Stern wanted a team that showed no emotion whatsoever so he had Robots created in the form of tall, mostly foreign NBA players. He could've at least had them programmed like that creepy "humanoid" robot named Kobian, which can express seven human emotions!!!!! I can tell you this though, their old "Fiesta" logo is dope and we have more deadstock Starter gear in stock than Starter had when they were manufacturing it back in the 90s!!!
