When I was a young bloke I dreamed of bartending in Jamaica, falling in love, engaging in frottage in the water and then making passionate love on the beach by a campfire!!!! However that never came to fruition and now all I have is a vintage 1989 Cocktail movie tee. Mr Cruise pumped out some classic movies in the 80s back before he went crazy and jumped on Oprah Chopra's couch!! I don't know about anybody else but I think this shirt is so amazing that I'm gonna go get my Flair Bartending on.....anyone up for some cocktails?

Big Fan came out on DVD today. Paul Aufiero, a 35-year-old parking-garage attendant from working-class Staten Island, is the self-described “world's biggest New York Giants fan.” One night Paul and his best friend, Sal, spot star Giants linebacker Quantrell Bishop at a gas station in Staten Island. They impulsively follow his SUV into Manhattan to a strip club, where they finally muster up the courage to talk to their hero. What starts out as a dream come true turns into a nightmare as a misunderstanding ignites a violent confrontation, and Paul is sent down a path that will test his devotion to the extreme.

One of the funniest movies ever is now available on dvd and blue ray. I usually dont buy dvd's unless its a movie I'll watch again and again which is why I will definitely grab this today.

Greatest sweatshirt of all time??? Where would the world be without the Natinaol Lampoon's movies.......seriosuly we would probably be a bunch of civil human beings and that's no fun! Someone not too long ago told me they've never seen National Lampoon's Vacation and I punched them in the nose like Clark Griswold did to the moose.......not a true story but sounded good!! What am I doing, I dont need to write anything the pictures speak for themselves!!

Speaking of the Twins check out this amazing vintage deadstock movie promo t-shirt that we just got in!!! I don't care what anyone says Danny Devito might be the funniest man alive! Maybe its the fact he wears crocs daily or maybe his love for Limincello (which I still need to try BTW) or all the great movies and tv shows he's starred in!! Any way you slice this shirt is quite possibly the coolest shirt ever and belongs in a museum of some sorts!!! If Danny Devito is reading this right now which is highly unlikely, next time you're in LA swing by the store (114 S. La Brea Ave) and take a Troll Foot picture!!!!

I haven't watched Hot Shots or Hot Shots Part Deux in so long that I think I'm due for a rental!! One of my favorite spoof movies of all time staring Charlie Sheen as Topper Harley who comes out of retirement in order to rescue a rescue party who went in to rescue a rescue party who are being held as hostages in Iraq. Is Blockbuster open 24-7???

Never Cloudy...

If you dont watch IASIP that you dont know what your missing! I was a late bloomer sort of speak and started to watch it a couple seasons in but I'm hooked on a feeling (insert David Hasselhoff video). Anyways today the Paddy's Pub gang is bringing Christmas home with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: A Very Sunny Christmas, available on DVD and Blu-ray! This would make a great stocking stuffer along with some kitten mittens and a liquor-gun!!!

See how I just transition into the next blog post with ease, HAHA! I haven't watched a movie since I moved out to LA so the other night we decided to get our Ebert & Roeper on. We were gonna go see The Boondock Saints II but the only problem is we never saw the first one. I know, I know, everyone and their motha has seen The Boondock Saints but not us, we like to watch movies a decade after they release :-) We went to Blockbuster to rent it and even the guy working laughed at us when we said this was our 1st time seeing it. The movie was great and reminded me of a mic between the Departed and Dexter mainly because it was shot in Boston and because the brothers kill people that deserve it so to speak. Seriously there wasnt a dull moment throughout the whole film and now I'm psyched to go see part II in the theatres! If you havent seen it before trust me its well worth renting!

If You Build It...

...they will come!! Baseball might be over for the season but you can always watch the classic movies during the Winter to get your fix. Major League is my all time favorite but Field of Dreams another classic in my book. Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta and James Earl Jones star in this story about an Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella, who hears a voice in his corn field tell him, "If you build it, he will come." He interprets this message as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm, upon which appear the ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson and the other seven Chicago White Sox players banned from the game for throwing the 1919 World Series. When the voices continue, Ray seeks out a reclusive author to help him understand the meaning of the messages and the purpose for his field.

Called up to the Majors...

WOW, this might be the greatest vintage sports movie t-shirt off all time! Here we have a vintage 1989 Major League promotional raglan t-shirt, deadstock, unworn and ready for your torso! Major League is one of the best baseball movies of all time IMO, right up there with Bad News Bears and Field of Dreams to name a few. I actually watched some of the movie the other night and there were a bunch of vintage sightings, mainly Indians gear but I saw some Starter hats and jackets!

Jungle Fever...

Lisa Lampanelli needs this shirt for real, hahahaha. Vintage 1991 Jungle Fever promo shirt given to friends and cast members. If you havent seen the movie the plot centers on the interracial romance between a successfully married African American man, Flipper Purify (Snipes), and an Italian-American woman, Angie Tucci (Sciorra). The two meet at their workplace in New York, at an architectural firm where Purify works and Tucci is hired as a temporary secretary. The lovers come under intense pressure from their friends and family as a result of their relationship. A subplot considers the problems of drug abuse, with Flipper's brother Gator (Samuel L. Jackson) a crack addict.

Like Spike...

"Man, why don't you move back to Massachusetts.....I was born in Brooklyn!" Such a classic movie and the scene above is the most memorable for a lot of people or should I say sneakerheads. We have this amazing vintage DTRT (Do the Right Thing) promo tee from 1989 in stock (actually on the mannequin as we speak). These were given to promoters and members of the entertainment press before the movie’s release so they are rarer than a three dolla bill yall. The shirt is an X-Large and its unworn so it still fits true to size which is hard to find in vintage apparel. Great for a vintage hip hop fan, movie buff, Spike Lee wanna be or just vintage t-shirt addict!
