DCNJ all up in my eye...

in a card shop far far away, sat a box of 1986 Fleer basketball cards that cost .50 cents a pack or $18 for the whole box! 25yrs later, that same box is up for auction on EBAY with a starting bid of a mere $30,000! You dont know how bad I wanna bid in this auction, buying a wax box of 86 Fleer is on my bucket list right next to sleeping with Britney Spears and playing in an actual Celtics game.....not sure how either of those are gonna pan out for me. I've seen plenty of graded packs but this is the first box that I've seen graded and just the thought of 15-18 Jordan RC's sitting in their is giving me heart palpitations!

Look at how I'm chillin', I'm killing this ice...

Ain't that where the Heat play...

I love finding shit like this! The 1990 NBA All Star game was held in Miami, FL at the Miami Arena, home of the Miami Heat from 1988–1999. The weekend included Craig Hodges winning the 3point shootout, Dominique taking home his 2nd Slam Dunk title and the East would go on to win 130-113 with Magic was named MVP. A few weeks back we found this bag of swag from All Star Weekend and I gotta say the bag itself had me excited. Inside was a bunch of random swag including a NBA rugby by Nutmeg, a NBA towel new in bag, some ticket stubs (w/random autographs on the back that I can't read), 2 official programs and the best part (at least I thought so) the Fan Judging cards for the Slam Dunk contest. Beggars cant be choosers but they made Starter jackets for the ball boys that year and I was hoping to find one of those in the mix but no such luck, maybe next time!

My Detroit Players...

A lot of people rank these in the top 10 WORST jerseys of all time, some even have them as #1. Is it the flaming horse head, the two exhaust pipes shooting flames or the Teal & Red (road/alternate) colorways that make your eyes bleed? I personally think they're dope and you don't see nearly as many people wearing them as lets say a Bulls, Magic or Hornets..........nothing worse than going to the club only to find another dude wearing the same vintage Champion jersey!!!! Where my Loy Vaught fans at, throw ya hands in the air!

Bol Legged...

You don't see a lot of vintage Manute gear floating around these days, actually ever. We had his vintage Caricature tee a few years back but other than that its Zip, Zilch, Nada. Matter of fact, I don't think I've ever even seen vintage Bol Champion jersey for any of the teams he played on ( Bullets, Warriors, 76ers or Heat).....if you have one email me a pic.

L.A.'s "other" team...

Possibly the dopest vintage Clippers snapback on the planet, the yellow brim comes out of nowhere and slaps you in the face like an irate spouse on an episode of Cheaters (please tell me you saw the episode when the host got stabbed??)

Since '86 showin' the crowd what I'm about...

The famous 1986 draft day photo featuring the top 5 picks; Walker, Person, Daugherty, Bias & Washburn. Out of the 5 hats pictured one of them has always eluded me.....until now. The Cleveland Cavaliers script aka the Daugherty draft day hat is almost that of a mythical creature that people often talk about but have never actually seen. If they had a Snapbacks Most Wanted list (hosted by John Walsh of course) the Cavs would definitely be in the top 3. Unlike Lebron, Brad Daugherty played his whole career (1986–1994) in Blue & Orange and we salute him for not "taking his talents to South Beach." The only other vintage NBA script hat (wool version) that I have yet to possess is the all green wool Supersonics script hat aka the Gary Payton 1990 lottery pick hat. If you have any information leading to the whereabouts of the Sonics script please call 323-937-0016 and remember, you can make a difference!!!

Reign Man...

Kemp: Of course I don't have my underwear. I'm definitely not wearing my underwear.
Payton: I gave you a fresh pair of mine to wear. Where are they?
Kemp: They're in the pocket of my jacket. Here.
Payton: I don't want them back.
Kemp: These are not boxer shorts. Mine are boxer shorts. These are Hanes 32.
Payton: Underwear is underwear, Shawn.
Kemp: My boxer shorts have my name and it says Shawn.
Payton: All right, when we pass the store, we'll pick you up a pair of boxer shorts.
Kemp: I get my boxer shorts at K-Mart in Cincinnati.
Payton: We're not going back to Cincinnati, Shawn, so don't even start with that.
