The High-Ayatolla of Slamola...

You don't get the nickname "The High-Ayatolla of Slamola" for just an occasional dunk here and there. Before Jordan there was Larry and I'm not talking about Bird either. Nance who was a 3-Time NBA All-Star had a great all around game but he loved to dunk and dunk is what he did best. In 1984 the very first NBA dunk contest was held in Denver and Nance was a contestant but he was conflicted when the contest. Nance wanted to be respected as a great player, not a great dunker. Winning the contest 25 years ago only made him worry more that, as the new "Ayatollah of Slamola," his game would be typecast. Nance would prove to be a dunk-champ anomaly - a big man who outperformed Dominique Wilkins and sentimental favorite Julius Erving with reverses, cradles and a toss off the backboard. I would say a good portion of the dunks you see today were inspired by Nance, so all the youngans out there......pay homage!

Spurs Dunk...

First off these are NOT a new nike dunk release so Spurs fan can wipe the drool off their face!!! I just came across this photoshoped picture of a custom San Antonio Spurs nike dunk hi. The colorway was inspired by the old Spurs logo which was one of the best oldschool NBA logo's IMO. The picture is actually a wallpaper for your computer brought to you by the folks at basketwallpapers. Honestly I think its a pretty good idea for Nike to do and if they could put the Spurs logo on the heel or the tongue it would make it even better! SHAMELESS PLUG: If you like the old Spurs logo I have a bunch of vintage snapbacks in my eBay Store :-)

$6,350.00!!!!!

That was the winning bid on a pair of Undftd Splatter Dunks!!! There are only 24 in the world but that just seems like a bit much. Honestly I think they look like a pair of GR dunks from finishline or something but to each his own :-)

Orchard Street 2....NAS

Found this pic saved on my computer of NAS rocking the Orchard Street 2's. One of the many shoes I had that weren't my size so instead of collecting dust I sold them. If anyone has a 10.5 that they want to sell, let me know!
