As Seen On (Poll Edition)...
In the early 90s Nike Flight apparel was a staple in fashion thanks in most part to His Airness, Michael Jordan. However MJ wasn't the only one rocking his line, rappers at the time were also rocking Jordan gear and that ultimately took the brand to a whole nother level. Above are pics of the same jacket being worn by 3 different people: an NBA superstar, a gangster rapper and the ultimate hypeman..........but who wore it best?

Logo Mania...
I just found this cool article about the Public Enemy logo that I thought I'd share. A lot of people think that HAZE created the logo but in fact it was actually Chuck D.
Chuck D: "I designed it in 1986. As a graphic graduate, I did it as a combo of two former groups. When the Public Enemy group and concept was signed to Def Jam in 1986, I simply moved the logo from the other dormant situation to PE. It was tightened up for the upcoming ads and album "Yo! Bum Rush The Show" in 1987 by New York artist Eric Haze. For the longest time, rumors had said it was a state trooper in the target scope, but the truth was it was a b-boy of that time where fedoras and Kangols were the hats of choice. I silhouetted E-Love, LL Cool J's right-hand man, in a fanzine named "Right On" with Magic Marker, X-acto-knifed it out then layed a target scope over it, using Wite-Out within the blackened figure. Lil Wayne rolled through the store a couple weeks back and above are some pics of him wearing a vintage Puble Enemy tee from the store. The shirt is a classic with the PE spellout on the front and the target scope logo on the back. We have a couple other vintage PE tees in stock so swing by the store and check em out. As Seen On...
Chuck D was not only one of the best hip hop lyricist in the one best hip hop groups of all time but he also wore some of the dopest fits back in the day. There were really only a couple teams he rocked a lot: Raiders (of course), Pirates, and Phillies were the majority of them. In the highly talked about Fight the Power video directed by SPike Lee Chuck D was rockin the Phillies hat above and from that point on the hat was iconic! We just picked up some of them hat last week and they are already sold out except for one that I just listed on eBay last night. The old logo is so clean and the maroon cap with the white P & button just sets it off. This logo was used by Phillies from 1970-1991 and will always be a classic!

Late last night I was flipping through the channels and caught some of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. In the movie John Connor was rockin a vintage Public Enemy shirt throughout parts the movie.......classic!! I have the same shirt in stock and its worn to vintage perfection with the screen stars tag still intact :-)
