John Mayer rockin the Kaws Air Force 1's while doing some sort of chicken dance on the sidewalk. Does anyone remember his TV show that aired on VH1 like 3 years ago, it was actually kinda funny! Ive come to the realization that I don't really rock AF1's so with that being said I have a DS pair of the Kaws AF1's in sz 10.5 if anyone is interested.

Dear Santa...

I would like the black version of the KAWS 4' Dissected Companion for Christmas. It's dropping this Saturday in Tokyo and there will most likely be a line so you might want to round up the reindeer today and hit the road, I mean sky!

I saw the leaked pics of this Kaws figure awhile back and wasnt really feelin it but now that I see the detailed pics its pretty amazing. OriginalFake unveils a closer look into the highly anticipated collaborative metal figure concoction between KAWS and famed Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama. A manifestation of Hajime Sorayama’s original painting in 2006, the 13″ figure comes to life with a fully-posable robotic metal finish. With a retail price of $980 I will probably pass but after seeing these pics its tempting. Source

Yesterday I posted the life size Kaws Chum figure that I saw this weekend at the House of Campari in LA and now pics just surfaced of new Chum key chains. After the success of the Companion Keyrings, the Chum character is now up for the treatment by Original Fake. The keyring comes in the 5 colorways shown above and they will be released at colette on June 26th. Source

CHUM·ming...

I saw this Kaws Chum figure at House of Campari when I was in LA this weekend. I didnt get a chance to make it out for the Honor Fraiser exhibition so it was cool to at least see this in person. Pharrell has the white one in his Miami home but the highlighter yelow one is sick too. The figure is approx 8ft tall and would look great in my office.

I was hoping Kaws would do the dissected 4 foot companions and it looks like they might be coming sooner than I thought. I already have the brown 4ft but I might have to get the dissected version to acompany the rest of the companions. There is no word on the release date but usually when you see a preview like this you know that they will be dropping soon.Source

Key + Chain...

When I got home tonight these Kaws key chains were waiting for me. I didnt plan on getting them when they came out a couple weeks back mainly because I wasnt spending $25+ on a key chain. Well last week I got the email from Kawsone that they had them for sale on their site (for retail which is always nice) so I decided to grab a couple sets. They remind me of Christmas ornaments and who knows maybe I'll hang them on the tree next year!! I guess in the meantime my keys are cooler now with a 2" companion figure on them, hahaha.

Dissected...

Just picked up the Kaws dissected bearbrick today!! Its 10 times better looking in person and n!ow my 4ft has a friend to chill with and hold down the fort, hahaha. Shout out to Dan @ Bodega!!!!!

Let My Chain Hang...

I saw a preview of these companion keychains a couple weeks back at Bodega and now it looks like they will be releasing shortly. They come in all 5 colors shown above and will most likely sell out quick as does all the Original Fake Kaws gear.

Kaws is everywhere lately and his latest piece of work is none other than Lance Armstrong’s new TREK Madone 6.9 road bike. Designed especially for Lance’s upcoming run in this year’s vaunted Milan-San Remo race, KAWS’ ultra-Pop graphic treatment was created to respectfully infuse a modern aesthetic into a truly classic competition. Employing a vintage style paint scheme as his foundation in honor of the race’s storied 102-year legacy, KAWS then transformed the entire bike into one of his trademark characters with two giant spinning mouths for wheels (Bontrager 5.0s) and a sneering row of teeth snaking across the frame itself. His signature XX eyes appear at key focal points of the frame as subtle reminders of his aesthetic hijacking. Screaming yellow paint was employed to heighten awareness of the Livestrong mission at hand. A painter known for his iconic character design and interventionist tendencies when using existing designs as a base, Lance’s bike proved an ideal opportunity for KAWS to create an unprecedented piece of rolling art. Fun fact: Lance had KAWS hide the legend WNW 2009 “Winners Not Whiners” on the bike’s bottom bracket. It’s Lance’s personal motto tucked out of sight but not out of mind. Where's Waldo...

Today was the much anticipated release of the Kaws Bearbrick in Asia. The toy was released at the Original Fake flagship in Tokyo and INVINCIBLE in Taipei. Above are some pics from the at INVINCIBLE and the queue aka line started at 11 PM last evening, with some flew in as far as Hong Kong for the toy figure purchase. By mid-morning, the queue grew to over 500 people, roped in and out of the narrow streets. Though the line-up was generally cooperative, this was one of the rare occasions Taipei’s Finest was on hand to prevent any disturbances. Source Freshneesmag

A Long Way Home...

Hopefully I can make it out to LA before the exhibition is over!! Honor Fraser (2622 La Cienega BLVD, Los Angeles, CA) will host “A Long Way Home,” a new collection of work by Kaws beginning on February 21, 2009. The exhibition will include paintings and sculpture. “A Long Way Home” is Kaws’ first solo show in LA. Source Highsnob

I posted pics awhile back of the new Kaws warm regards bars and now we have word that they are available at the OriginalFake flagship store. Im not sure if or when they will release on Kawsone.com but I would think very soon. I think Kaws should team up with popsicle.com and really put these out as Ice Cream the kids would love it!!!
