What Recession...

Above is one of the rarest vintage skateboard t-shirts in existence, the infamous Powell Peralta multi print tee. From the late 80s this shirt features several of the classic Powell prints like the Underhill, the vato rat, the crossbones, bomber, 89 tour logo etc. This tee usually hits the $400-$500 range with ease and Ive seen them go for more than that in the past. The one above sold on eBay last week for $420 Buy it Now and its in the best condition I've ever seen. I think my cousin actually had this shirt back in the day, I might have to give him a call tomorrow and see if he still has it laying around :-)

DOPE on a stick...

I love seeing stuff like this, 22 years ago Keith Haring doodled on a skateboard and it just sold at Phillips de Pury for a whopping $16,250!!!! The skateboaord features a Haring character ollieing over a baby and his signature and date in the middle. Haring’s skateboard ended up being the third highest selling item and it just goes to show that you never know what will be valuable down the road........not saying you should be a pack rat and keep everything but watch what you throw out because it could come back to haunt you :-) Source

Hoverboard...

If you've ever been to Cambridge MA than you might be familiar with Proletirat in the The Garage. If not make sure you take a trip over there and check out the store for some dope vintage gear amongst other things. Proletariat Skateboards out of Boston has just unveiled their new “Hoverboard” deck that they are releasing this Friday, 5/16. The graphics are that of the infamous hoverboard from the movie Back To The Future (in case you lived in a cave for the past 20 yrs). The only question I want to know is does it hover??? If not can someone PLEASE invent a real hoverboard ASAP!!! Source

Gonzo...

The hat I posted below reminded me of the vintage Mark Gonzales t-shirt and flip flops I had awhile back. The shirt was a vision longsleeve tee from 1986 and the flip flops didnt have a date but Im assuming they were released around the same time.
