Who remembers these hoodie t-shirts from back in the day?? Talk about a flashback (not a drug-related either) from middle school. Canes gear was definitely the top College team to rock back in the day and if you had the Starter jacket, you were the man!! If you havent watched ESPN's 30 for 30 "The U" you need to stop what you're doing right now (leave work if you have to) and go watch it!!! For real its the best hour of TV Ive watched in years! In the clip above at :25 they show the school store with all the vintage Canes gear which is always dope to see! "The U" is documentary about the legendary University of Miami football teams from the 1980s. Billy Corben, director of the 2006 documentary Cocaine Cowboys (about the the city's cocaine epidemic during the same decade), directed tonight's film. The clip above is of the Hurricanes arriving in Phoenix in army fatigues after billing their Fiesta Bowl game as "war." The best part is when they kick it with 2 Live Crew who were big "supporters" of The U back in the 80's.

Sweat(pants)in' to the Oldies...
