We got this vintage Ali sweatshirt in the other day and honestly I never knew that Nutmeg Mills had the licensing back in the day. After a little research I found out that in October of 1992 Ali debuted his clothing line produced by Nutmeg Hills. The sweatshirt is sick and features the image of Ali's famous knockdown against Liston.

NEW YORK - Boxing great Muhammad Ali will enter the apparel ring Tuesday, Oct. 27, when he introduces his signature line of activewear at Macy's Herald Square, from 12-2 p.m. The only boxer ever to hold the heavyweight title three times will make a rare personal appearance to help launch the line, Muhammad Ali Sportswear by Nutmeg Mills. Macy's is creating a special Ali Sportswear Department to merchandise the line of T-shirts, shorts, sweats, outerwear and caps. Nutmeg is manufacturing all the products through a special licensing agreement with Ali and ABC Sports. "His wife said Ali is so moved by the whole thing," a Nutmeg spokesperson said. Source

I think Manny Pacquiao aka Wapakman should star in the next 2 Fast 2 Furious movie because that's what dude is! The fight was pretty one sided from the get go but I give Cotto credit for going almost the full 12 rounds. Pac Man looked like a man on a mission..... a mission to finish the fight quick so he could go sing Karaoke at the local watering hole on the Vegas strip. In the graphic, you will find the obvious and hidden stories. The saying on the front "Hand Skills are Real Ill" comes from a verse Biggie spit on his Duet with 50 Cent but can also be said for the Pound 4 Pound Champion of the world!! The "X's" found in A, P, and O from the word Champion, as this is a common symbol used for a character's eyes when they get knocked out. Last but certainly not least is the t-shirt print which is Glow in the Dark ink to again give another boxing tie too, as in the Knockout reference, "Lights Out". Fight Night...

Yesterday I finally hit up some thrift stores and found some pretty dope stuff. Above is my favorite find from the day, a deadstock vintage 1982 Holmes vs Cooney ringer t-shirt. The shirt is the old Padres colors with the classic Caesars Palace graphic smack in the middle. The fight took place on June 11, 1982 and was one of the most highly anticipated fights of the early 1980s, if not of all of boxing's history. Check out the whole fight breakdown HERE

Saturday Night Live...

So my choices for the night were: Watch the Mayweather/Marquez fight or go see a fat guy crack jokes??? Looks like I'll be catching the fight recap on SportsCenter........I'm off to see Artie Lange at the Gibson Amphitheatre!!!

Iron Mike...

In case you missed it Mike Tyson was on Jimmy Kimmel live the other night and as always it was a great interview. I dont know what it is but I could watch Mike Tyson 24/7/365.....he needs to do a reality show!!! P.S. I cant wait to see the documentary.

Fight Night...

I just watched the Margarito vs Mosley fight on HBO and it was a one sided fight to say the least. Mosley just made Margarito look like a amateur and the fight was called in the 9th round. Margarito was a 4-1 favorite and some are saying this is the biggest upset in years!!! "Sugar" Shane is now the WBA welterweight champion of the world.....
