The Champ is Here...
We got this vintage Ali sweatshirt in the other day and honestly I never knew that Nutmeg Mills had the licensing back in the day. After a little research I found out that in October of 1992 Ali debuted his clothing line produced by Nutmeg Hills. The sweatshirt is sick and features the image of Ali's famous knockdown against Liston.
NEW YORK - Boxing great Muhammad Ali will enter the apparel ring Tuesday, Oct. 27, when he introduces his signature line of activewear at Macy's Herald Square, from 12-2 p.m. The only boxer ever to hold the heavyweight title three times will make a rare personal appearance to help launch the line, Muhammad Ali Sportswear by Nutmeg Mills. Macy's is creating a special Ali Sportswear Department to merchandise the line of T-shirts, shorts, sweats, outerwear and caps. Nutmeg is manufacturing all the products through a special licensing agreement with Ali and ABC Sports. "His wife said Ali is so moved by the whole thing," a Nutmeg spokesperson said. Source

I Am The Greatest...

Just a reminder I still have some ALI tees in stock but they are going quick so head over to my ONLINE STORE and grab one before they're gone :-)
Superfight...

Although Spinks beat Ali in a split decision in the first fight on Feb, 15 1978, the second fight 7 months later was a different outcome. Spinks lost the title to Ali in New Orleans at the Louisiana Superdome on September 15, 1978 by a unanimous 15-round decision. This time it was Spinks who did not train hard enough. Ali, despite his declining skills, gave every ounce of himself in this fight and did everything he could to out-smart and out-box the much younger Spinks. By regaining the title, Ali became the first three-time heavyweight champion. Spinks continued to come into fights out of shape and was never as effective as he was in the first Ali fight. Above is one of my favorite vintage tees that I have in stock and it also comes with the original beer mug which features the same graphic on the front!!! Unfortunately the tee is a sz Medium and way to small for me to wear but its a great collectible piece and would look amazing frame!!
