Have you heard the joke about Luc Longley and the shrimp??? Actually its not a joke, last December Anna McCallum, an Australian graduate student at the University of Melbourne discovered a new type of shrimp. She put the naming rights for the shrimp up on eBay with the proceeds going to the Australian Marine Conservation Society. Enter Luc Longley, who apparently is quite the marine conservationist and avid shrimp connoisseur. Uncle Luc (not to be confused with 2 live crew frontman) wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by so he got into a heated bidding war against some mad scientists. In the end Longley dropped a whopping $2,900 while the others just watched in amazement as the 7' 2" former basketball player won again (3 Championship rings with the Bulls) in this game we call life. Longley named the shrimp Lebbeus clarehanna after his daughter, Clare Hanna Longley and when asked how he felt after the big win, he simply replied "Damn it feels good to be a gangster!!"
