Yan Yan...

I just tried some Yan Yans for the first time and they are wicked good!! I always see them when at the Grocery Store but never picked them up until today. For those that dont know Yan Yan is a Japanese snack food made by Meiji Seika. It comes in a package with two compartments. One side has biscuit sticks and the other has chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla frosting used for dipping. Another cool thing about the YAn Yan's is the sticks have pictures of various animals on them with quotes relating to that animal. The quotes are in English, but often appear unorthodox to native English speakers. I got the strawberry flavor today and Im gonna have to try the other two flavors soon....just thought I'd share :-)

The chocolate is good, but kind of waxy. I adore Meiji Apollo chocolate. If you like Strawberry and Chocolate, you need to try this. Delicious. I got mine at that asian marketplace Kam Man, but you can find it online too. This is just one place I came up with: http://www.efooddepot.com/products/Meiji/1014/Apollo_Chocolate.html

No problem, I'm into Japanese culture(and food) in a big way. If you like Yan Yan, then I assume you like Pocky(http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/product/glico-strawberry-bits-pocky-1-7-oz)? <-can you tell I like Strawberry? Anywho, Walky Walky is to Pocky as Mini M&M's are to M&M's. Little bite sized pieces of pocky completely covered in cream. Yum.
