Blue Ribbon Sports...

I just saw this AUCTION for a super RARE pair of Nike's. The seller states that they are approx 40 yrs old which would make them from the late 60's. Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight founded Blue Ribbon Sports in 1964 which was later renamed Nike in 1978. The Nike swoosh was designed in 1971 so these sneakers would probably have to be early 70s beacause of the visible swoosh. They appear to be a sample because there is no markings whatsoever on the shoe. The auction price is $5,00 but there is a best offer button as well. The seller states to call him for more info so I might have to give him a ring and see the back story on these bad boys. Info about Nike history found HERE
