These might be the oddest looking sneakers of the 90s. The pictures above are of the Wayne Gretzky LA Gears which look kinda like a moon boot if you ask me. They were made specifically for street hockey and they look like an ice skate without the blade on the bottom, hahaha. The best thing about these sneakers is the marketing ploy LA Gear used in their ads: They Guarantee you'll be as good as Wayne Gretzky, you'll get rich, people will look up to you and my personal favorite....each pair was hand-sewn by the Great one himself!!! I wonder how many kids dreams were crushed when they bought these and didn't turn out like Wayne Gretzky, LOLOLOL
