Allow me to reintroduce myself...

The year is '94 and in my trunk is raw...
Cause when my back's against the wall, I REACT...
Last week I went back to a dig spot that I found years ago to see if they still had anything good leftover. I found a bunch of Starter snapbacks but they had too much storage damage so I passed on them along with some vintage Nike's in small sizes with no boxes. However I did manage to find 5 pairs of deadstock vintage Cons React's hidden in the back room. The Johnson & Johnson's as you could say were some of my favorite sneakers growing up and they still rank high on my all time sneaker list. The Aero Jam's were Larry Johnson's signature shoe and originally released in two Hornets colorways. white and black (shown above) with teal accents. The main feature of the sneaker was a removable lace cover and the almighty React juice! Then there were the Kevin Johnson's that were introduced in 1993 as the Run N' Gun but some critics objected to the shoe's name as "too violent" and Converse changed the name Run N' Slam. The sneaker featured the patented React juice which was a combination of gas & gel built into the heel to absorb shock and provide additional maneuvering control. The Run N' Slam's were sleeker and lighter than the Aero Jam's but not nearly as popular. I'm a little salty that none of them are my size but.....these are the breaks!!!

I got it for the LO...
I haven't found much vintage Polo lately but Sunday I came away with a few pieces from the flea market. I walked by a massive pile and almost didn't stop but I'm glad I did because these were all buried at the bottom. I'm gonna probably keep the Yacht jacket but the USA fleece and Cookie jacket will be for sale soon along with a bunch of Polo that I have laying around.

Jose, can you see...

While I was at the Rose Bowl yesterday, Big Red hit up Jose Canseco's garage sale and came away with some gems!!! He had a stash of vintage caricature tees, some vintage Oakland A's gear and even a sick Star Line jacket. In other Canseco news, he tweeted this last week "Call me you haters 310-862-6309 if you have the balls." It's $10 per call (part of that fee will go to the charity) but you can chat it up with 1/2 of the Bash Bros and ask him about roids, hookers, being broke or anything else your heart desires!!!
Brothers from another Mother...

The Costacos Bros created some of the best sports posters of the 80s/90s but a lot of people dont know that they actually started out as an apparel company. Costacos Brothers was established in Seattle in 1985, with the idea of capturing the intensity, emotion, and power of sports, and initially did so on t-shirts only. The company then added posters to its line, and became so successful in this product category that t-shirts were eliminated entirely by 1990. Unlike Mark & Jose, Tock and John Costacos are real brothers who built their reputation with "fantasy" imagery that gave professional sports heroes a larger-than-life look and appeal.

Charles in Charge...
Another vintage poster from our growing collection.....which will eventually be for sale, I promise!!! Not quite as popular as the vintage Godzilla vs Barkley posters but far more rare and hard to come by. Besides the mean mug and generic no logo jersey, Chuck is rocking the Air Force High's in the 76ers colorway which were often referred to as "The Barkley".
Date: 1988
Title: Get Off My Backboard

Tryin' to get that Scalabrine number, one over Jordan...

Just got back from a last minute east coast trip and you know I had to sneak in a Celtics game. I went to see the Celtics-Bulls on Friday and it was the return of Big Scal (and Tom Thibodeau) which I wouldn't miss for the world. Unfortunately the other player I wanted to see was the "Big Shamrock" who sat out for the third straight game because of a bruised right knee......WAAAAHHHHHH!!! Great game: Ray Ray dropped 25, Joakim Noah led all Bulls with 26 and continues to be the most annoying player in the league with the worst looking shot, we blew a 4th quarter lead like usual, game went to OT and we got the W 110-105.
